What is Sissy Thinking About?....And The Park

So here lately, Natalie, you like to ask us "what is sissy thinking?" How should we know what you are thinking? You are so silly and so so so smart! You are barely 3 and you can count backwards from 10, count to 10 in Spanish, and you say " hola chica" all the time! You also like to pretend that mommy and daddy's bed is a boat and that there are crocodiles is the river (floor). Along with all your intelligence comes the attitude, for some reason you cant hear mommy unless what i am saying benefits the princess.

And the Park...
cheetos on the face

Today we went to a new park with Jenifer and Makaylah. We had so much fun! Landon, I am totally amazed at you! You are totally fearless! you went down the biggest slides all by yourself, and you climbed up the biggest slide all by yourself. You are so independent, I love it! You also inspire your big sissy to be a little more brave too. Also while I was taking pictures I have discovered that you are incredibly photogenic. You are absolutely gorgeous and I always get beautiful pictures of you.

Natalie, you are absolutely adorable also, but you never let me get even one good picture of you!
what are you looking at?
being brave
What a face!

Earthquake? In Centerton?

I knew we had a fault line running around here somewhere, but I forgot about it. We haven't had an earthquake here in my life time for sure. I actually didn't feel anything, I was at work, but the kids and Trenton felt it in Centerton. Trenton said that there was a loud boom and then a little shaking, he thought a plane was flying too low. I thought it was kind of cool, as long as they don't start becoming a frequent thing.

Today I am having a lazy day at home with the kids. They are of course napping at the moment. I am debating on joining them! We do have plans for later to go to my mom's for dinner. My little sister Katy is bringing home a new boyfriend for us to meet. Poor guy, hope he is up for the chaos!

Nap Time!

I always have a bunch of things to do saved up for nap time. Laundry, dishes, post on here, sweep, and mop. Today I put Landon to bed at 12:30 and Natalie at 1:00. Well, somebody is still up now at 2:00 doing somersaults and talking to his bear. Natalie went right to sleep, but not our little bubby, wide awake. He is way to young to be cutting out nap time. To be honest I was hoping my kids would keep one nap a day until they start school. I love my little babies! They are the best part of me!

Gentry Safari

Last week we went to the safari with Aunt Jenifer, Makaylah, and Grandma. Natalie, you were so excited to go but as soon as the animals got close you freaked out as usual. You aren't much of an animal person. One of the baby goats just looked at you and you screamed like it was going to eat you for lunch. Landon, you loved them until they started to steal your Cheetos (we actually brought them for the animals, but you wouldn't share). Makaylah is quite the animal lover! She likes to hug and kiss (yuck) the animals. Landon and Makaylah rode the ponies. Natalie, you wanted to ride a pony so bad but you just couldn't quite get the nerves to do it. You all did love the monkeys the most! I love to watch you babies learning and discovering new things! I thank God every day that I get to be your mommy!

I no longer have two under two

I haven't posted in a long time. Mostly because I didn't think anyone really would want to read about my boring life. But, I have been writing a journal to my kids. I am thinking about transferring it over to this blog and then printing it out yearly. This way I can add pictures as I please, and it will be all nice and neat. I will be writing most of my post directly to my kiddos, but feel free to comment when you want.

Also my babies are growing up! Natalie just had her 3rd birthday! Woo Hooo! It was so much fun. We had her party at Jump Zone and she had a blast!

We also went through the first anniversary of Natalie's heart surgery. I wasn't exactly sure how I would feel, but was kind of shocked to find out I was a little sad. I looked though pictures and cried and remembered very clearly how scared we were. I also remembered how hard it was to let her go back for surgery, and how she looked afterwards. This year because it is still so fresh the anniversary brought back a lot of anxiety. But I am so happy that it is over and that Natalie will be able to live her life healthy and happy now. This anniversary should symbolize the joy of having her fixed healthy heart! She has gained a whopping 12lbs since surgery!

sorry

I know my posts are becoming few and far between, and I am sorry about that. I have come to the conclusion that I have absolutly nothing to blog about, in a good way. My kids are happy and healthy. Natalie is healed up and growing like crazy (she totally skipped a size in shoes), Landon is right on track. My job is easy, long, but easy. My marriage is great! My whole family is close and supportive when I need it. I am about to go on a vacation for the first time in 4 years! I don't have much but am happy with what I have, probably much like anybody else! Thanks to you all who do follow my blog!

its been a while

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted. This is going to be a very real post...
I am tired and stressed and in desperate need for my vacation. Ever since Landon was born Trenton and I have been working total opposite schedules. It was ok at first, but after 6 months we both are feeling like single parents. I am either by my self all day with the kids or Trenton is. We don't have days together as a family, and it is starting to really make me sad. At the moment we can't afford daycare for 2 kids, it is very expensive for a good daycare. We are looking for someplace that would take the kids for 2 days a week so that maybe on the weekends we could have two days as a complete family. One issue is with Natalie, she freaks when I leave especially if I leave her with someone she isn't comfortable with. I know what you all are thinking, she will get over it after a few times going, but I don't know. We haven't even been able to leave her in daycare at church, one time she escaped, and all the other times the teacher brings her back to me because she is still screaming bloody murder after 20 minutes. I do believe she would really enjoy playing with other kids. But I also am thinking who in there right mind is going to put up with her screaming until she adjusts. Landon on the other hand would be sooo easy! The next issue is our bedtime routine... We don't have one. When I work I don't get home until 8pm. From the second I get home I am running around trying to get the kids ready for bed. When I am off we aren't racing the clock, so it goes much smoother. So Natalie (again) sleeps in her own bed great at nap time, but at bedtime she screams and cries unless I sit with her until she goes to sleep. I would just let her cry her self to sleep, we did this before Landon and it worked great, she stopped crying after 3 days. But Landon is also in bed at this time and she wakes him up. So now I sit with her for 5 minutes and she goes to sleep, no big deal... except she wakes up screaming at 12am. One of us jumps up and runs in to try and keep her quiet so she doesn't wake Landon. If we get her back to sleep in her bed, she wakes up again 30 min later. So after playing this game she usually ends up in our bed. Then if she hasn't woke Landon up by this time he wakes up at 2am. He used to sleep through the night, but not anymore! So, we are all exhausted in the morning. Just so you know, I realize this is a result of 2 years of spoiling, and we made her this way, but now I really don't what to do. I am just tired. I don't even want to leave the house because I know I have to go by myself. My poor mom is probably sick of us because every time she is off I bring the kids over, just so I can have a little help. I know this was super long and whiny, but I love my kids and I want to do whats best for them, even if I don't always know what that is.
